Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal Rescued from Chennai Flood
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and actor Vishnu Vishal were recently rescued from the Chennai floods caused by Cyclone Michaung. The severe storm led to torrential rain in Chennai, bringing the city to a standstill for two days.
Vishnu Vishal, who was stranded in Karapakkam, shared pictures on social media after being rescued by the fire and rescue department of the state. These pictures also revealed that Aamir Khan was stuck in the same situation.
Vishnu Vishal expressed his gratitude to the fire and rescue department for their help during these testing times. He noted that rescue operations had started in Karapakkam and commended the Tamil Nadu government for their efficient response.
The pictures shared by Vishnu Vishal showed boats deployed for rescuing stranded individuals, including Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal’s wife, badminton player Jwala Gutta.
Minister of Industries of the state, Dr. TRB Rajaa, praised Aamir Khan for his patience and humility during the rescue operations.
He highlighted that Aamir Khan did not use his celebrity status to get preferential treatment and waited his turn to be rescued, just like other citizens. This act was seen as a lesson for those who often try to use their influence in such situations.
Aamir Khan had shifted his base to Chennai in October to be close to his mother, Zeenat Hussain, who was under the care of a private medical facility in the city. He planned to stay at a hotel near his mother’s treatment center to be available whenever needed.
The rescue of Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal from the Chennai floods highlights the severity of the situation caused by Cyclone Michaung and the commendable efforts of the rescue teams in helping those affected.
